Modern Style is split into two workbooks; Book A presents the material at a slower pace than Book B, and includes more frequent reviews. Use A and B sequentially or choose the best pace for the child.
These books offer a systematized approach for teaching cursive as children’s first writing experience or for making the transition from printing to cursive writing. Emphasis is on letter connections, the most difficult aspect of cursive. Children place writing strips at the top of their lined paper and copy directly below.
Exercises progress from single lower case letters (grouped according to beginning stroke) through two-letter combinations and short words and phrases, to capital letters and sentences. Paperback, 80 pages each.
