Discover the color spectrum first-hand with these acrylic prisms. Humans have been fascinated with prismatic effects since they saw the first rainbow.
Over three hundred years ago, Sir Isaac Newton concluded that a prism separates white light into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. These durable equilateral prisms are great when glass is not an option.
Prisms are sold separately. Both are for ages 4 and up.
The Large Triangle Prism (SC483) is 3" x 2 1/2" x 7/8".
Please note: The Small Triangular Prism (SC481), described in our catalog and pictured here, has changed. The new prism is 4 1/2" long and is an isosceles triangle – the base is 1 3/8" and the sides are about 7/8".
