This set of photo cards is a good introduction to classification, and a great vocabulary-building tool. Start with a few cards within one or two high contrast categories, pointing out the similarities and differences. As the child gains comfort with sorting into groups, add more cards within categories for finer distinctions.
It’s easy to recombine cards to create other categories that can be sorted by shape, color, or function. Includes three cards each in 13 categories, activity guide, and a reusable, hinged plastic storage box. 6" x 5½". Ages 3 and up.
