Homemade beeswax candles are a perfect craft for children – they're all-natural, truly useful, make thoughtful gifts, and are easy to make.
Young children can simply roll a beeswax sheet around a wick to make a lovely pillar candle. Older children can cut and layer the wax to make more complex creations.
100% natural beeswax is used as a foundation in beehives, it is made into sheets and embossed with the honeycomb pattern. When lit, the hexagonal pattern of the beeswax reflects light from within to give each candle a unique glow.
This open-ended craft activity includes six 8⅜" x 8" pure beeswax sheets (1 sheet each of blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow) and six 9½" cotton/paper wicks. Ages 4 and up; some adult assistance may be required.
