1st Knowledge: Animal Stories

This set consists of 42 duplicate animal picture/text cards. One set is cut apart for three-part matching activities, and the other set is placed into two red, six-ring mini-binders labeled Animals. The teacher has the option of changing the cards in the binders as needed. The children can match the three-part cards (6" x 3¾") to the cards in the binder, play “Who am I?”, practice reading, and learn the characteristics of animals from 11 major phyla. These activities prepare children for later work with In-Print’s set, Animal Kingdom Chart and Cards, which has the same animal illustrations.
